I'm so sad. When I opened the envelope yesterday, I saw the yellow page without reading the detail, I knew I failed the California First-Year Law Students' Examination(FYLSX). This June 2009 exam I did better than the previous. But the actual score was not what I expected. I'm so disappointed with myself.
Should I retake the exam this October?

That makes two of us. I failed as well, but that doesn't mean I'm going to just give up. I'm going to sign up for the October exam and try again. Yes, it's expensive to pay for the exam again, but think about your long term goals. If you really want to be an attorney, then I suggest you take the exam again. Best of luck to you.
I prefer not to use the word "failed," but I also did not pass the June 2009 exam (it was my first try). I am not giving up though and neither should you. Good luck on your next attempt!
If you have decided to sign up for the October exam then you need to be confident. Confidence comes from being properly prepared for the exam.
Review your last exam results to identify your weaknesses. Focus the first part of your study time on improving these weaknesses.
Learn from the past but focus on the future.
The baby bar exam can be passed. Best of Luck.
